My name is Tabitha Wamiru Muhengere. I am 28 years old, a firstborn in a family of four, 3 girls and 1 boy. I am born and raised in the central province of Kenya, although, right now, we don’t use provinces anymore; it’s all about regions and counties. That said, I originate from the Mount Kenya region, Nyeri County.

2 years after my high school education, I joined the National Youth Service, NYS, in the hope of securing a degree certificate in tourism and hospitality. At the NYS, I underwent paramilitary training, which is the first pillar of the three pillars and nation building, being the second pillar. However, I could not complete the third pillar, which is course attendance, due to pregnancy. I was forced to drop out to take care of myself and my upcoming miracle, we are now at 6 yrs., thanks be to God.

I am in a point in life where I am balancing work and motherhood with my passions. I currently work as a paralegal. I am also on a journey of full self-discovery where I am questioning my beliefs in attempt to change my limiting beliefs. Journaling has become my favorite part of the day, hoping to one day tell my story and make someone realize they are enough, as they are.
I would once identify myself as an extrovert which am surprised that that side is now overshadowed by introversion. Don’t get me wrong, I still love going out to parties and having fun but somehow I no longer find the peace in those areas like I do by myself.

I am a lover of nature and having moved to the coastal region, the Indian Ocean and its beaches is my best friend.

Photography has become a part of me, it feels nice seeing things via lenses and revisiting those moments is a magic unexplained. I am a movie lover, especially the comedies, life’s tough we ought to get some laughs, right? I have a passion of music and every now and then I go to karaoke night, to sing my heart out and go home with a sore throat.
The best part of me is that I love writing, and my dream is to one day be a fulltime freelancer/writer. My writing creations are infused with personal experiences. I tend to lean my writing mostly on relationships, though I am currently learning academic writing. I am a curious soul, ready to learn and always learning, there is beauty in knowledge.
I have been on the lookout for an application like this one, that I can earn from my creations and thanks to @rubenstorm here I am. For this I am thankful to the HIVE community for creating such a wonderful platform. I hope to engage, make and meet friends all over the world. May HIVE become my home and may strangers turn to friends and family.
