Let us rejoice that Christ has risen; let us celebrate that resurrection that allows us to have the assurance of an eternal home at his side.
For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is also in vain. 15 And we are found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ; whom he did not raise, if indeed the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ has not been raised either. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is in vain; you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.
20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, The firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep has become. 21 For since death came through man, the resurrection of the dead also comes through man. 22 For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then those who belong to Christ at his coming.

Many people view this Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday as a religious day where it's simply about putting on your best clothes and attending church. But it's not just about that or celebrating the empty tomb and going on with life as if nothing had happened. I understand that, since we didn't witness his resurrection, imagining that morning with the tomb empty is a bit difficult. We know the story very well, but perhaps we don't fully understand the magnitude of what happened at that moment.
That's why the apostle Paul gives us a glimpse of the importance of the resurrection and describes what would have happened if it hadn't been fulfilled with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. All our celebrations would be a big lie, and our faith would be truly useless because we would continue to bear the guilt of sin as in the beginning, without hope and without salvation, much less eternal life.
whom God set forth as a propitiation in his blood through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had passed over the sins that were previously committed,
Romans 3:25
That's why when we talk about Easter, when we talk about the resurrection, we must understand beyond the facts: Jesus Christ died in our place to satisfy God's demand, that atonement for sin. And that resurrection shows us God's approval of Jesus, who, through that sacrifice, took away the sin of the world. Thanks to that victory over death, we too will be resurrected and have that inheritance in heaven. This hope allows us to rejoice and delight in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Regocijémonos que Cristo ha resucitado, celebramos esa resurrección que nos permite tener la seguridad de un hogar eterno a su lado.
Porque si no hay resurrección de muertos, tampoco Cristo resucitó. 14 Y si Cristo no resucitó, vana es entonces nuestra predicación, vana es también vuestra fe. 15 Y somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios; porque hemos testificado de Dios que él resucitó a Cristo, al cual no resucitó, si en verdad los muertos no resucitan. 16 Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó; 17 y si Cristo no resucitó, vuestra fe es vana; aún estáis en vuestros pecados. 18 Entonces también los que durmieron en Cristo perecieron. 19 Si en esta vida solamente esperamos en Cristo, somos los más dignos de conmiseración de todos los hombres.

Muchas personas ven este domingo de Pascua o el domingo de resurrección como un día religioso en el cual es simplemente ponerse la mejor ropa y asistir a la iglesia. Pero no se trata sólo de eso o de celebrar que la zumba está vacía y seguir la vida como si nada hubiese sucedido. Entiendo de qué como nosotros no fuimos testigo de su resurrección, imaginarnos esa mañana con la tumba vacía se hace un poco difícil, conocemos muy bien la historia pero quizás no llegamos a entender la magnitud de lo que ha sucedido en ese momento.
Es por eso que el apóstol Pablo nos da una pincelada de la importancia de la resurrección, y describe lo que hubiese sucedido si no se hubiese cumplido con la resurrección de Jesucristo. Todas nuestras celebraciones serían una gran mentira y nuestra fe sería realmente inútil porque seguiríamos cargando con la culpa del pecado como en el principio, sin esperanza y sin salvación ni mucho menos vida eterna.
a quien Dios puso como propiciación por medio de la fe en su sangre, para manifestar su justicia, a causa de haber pasado por alto, en su paciencia, los pecados pasados,
Romanos 3:25
Por eso cuando hablamos de Pascua, cuando hablamos de la resurrección debemos comprender más allá de los hechos, Jesucristo murió en nuestro lugar para satisfacer la demanda de Dios, esa expiación del pecado. Y esa resurrección nos demuestra la aprobación de Dios a favor de Jesús que a través de ese sacrificio quitó el pecado del mundo. Gracias a esa victoria sobre la muerte, nosotros también resucitaremos y tendremos esa herencia en los cielos. Esta esperanza nos permite regocijarnos y deleitarnos en la resurrección de Jesucristo.
