I hunt snakes and big ones
today has been a good snake day, I actually saw them three times, and I also got good pictures twice, These pictures are good here to show what a male snake looks like and what a female snake looks like.
In the first four pictures, you can see how the snake has a strong black pattern on it, it is a male snake and usually the most poisonous.
But in the last three pictures, you can see how the snake is a brownish soft color and the pattern cannot be seen properly, it is a female.
But if you run into them, don't get as close as I did, I had to move slowly for a while to keep the snakes calm as I approached them. it takes lot time, and also strong nerves, miraculously my hands no longer shake when I first photographed a snake in the forest many years ago, now I look at them with strong nerves and my hands stand still like a stone.
But always safety first, I had a few things that I used, the first thing is a camera bag which is a protective shield so that I can keep the snake's head busy so that it doesn't carefully watch my other hand where the camera is.... or if you have big shoes with a strong cover, you can use them too, but don't let the snake climb up or it will come in your pants :)))

A 30 mm macro lens and these photos?! Wow! Your hands (camera) must have been right on top of the snake. Did it ever strike at you?
Yes, when I take these pictures, I do it very close, and I have had to practice it every summer, personally I recommend not to go near this snake, because many of them are very fast, some are slow, and they can jump far to bite , when taking pictures here, I always have my camera bag next to me as a protective shield, I always peek over the bag or under the bag at him. :)) this snakes is not joke ;)
Ahh...they are very very dangerous and venomous snakes. I would not even come within 50m distance. But I really commend you for this effort, how precisely you have taken their shots. I have some short of phobia even just by seeing them. Great photo shots.❤️❤️❤️
