This is how Leonardo's "Mona Lisa" began to be recalled in 1911, after it was stolen. 🕵️♂️ Other artists did not like it, because this picture reached such heights that it was no longer open to criticism or condemnation.
Then the artist Marcel Duchamp bought some postcards with the image of Mona Lisa and painted her mustache. 🖌️ This caused a huge wave of criticism, to which Marcel Duchamp said: "I just brought the Gioconda down from heaven to earth, showed you that it is also possible to spoil it, it is not something divine. And agree that I have made something more popular than Leonardo himself."
