26 things I learned by 26:
- Speaking another language communicates a lot more than words.
- Adulthood is just late-stage childhood. You can buy the games you never owned.
- Adult decisions have adult consequences.
- If you lack anything, typically another adult specializes in it. Ask for help.
- You’re never too old for imagination, fun and creativity.
- When planning with your parents, allot two hours of extra time…
- Siblings do take from your example. It’s not always the best things.
- Siblings do love you, even if they qualify it with “I guess”.
- Money can’t buy everything, kkbut it can buy buoyant ads in pools.
- Many opportunities come. Many more go. Make the most of every moment.
- Do what you love. You may not love every minute of every other task, but you remember the point.
- Everybody doesn’t get it. That’s why they don’t ‘got it’.
- Not everyone gets it right away.
- You cannot capture every photo.
- Group chats are efficient for communication.
- Muting group chats is… ill-advised.
- Half of it is showing up. The other half is showing off.
- Discipline is a myth. It’s often the context that carries the day.
- Tracking your progress is satisfying. Tracking the wrong thing leads you astray from the Way.
- Some things are better when you wait.
- You can’t wait on it forever.
- Your “soon” is not my “soon”. Neither is your “some” the same as my “some”.
- Saturday’s the busiest day for a barber shop.
- It’d be best if you called ahead. For everything.
- Still, there’s more to learn, more to earn. Won’t always be a smash hit.
- Good habits make what you want to happen that much easier, like sharing your story each and every day.
