I missed the window to upvote this, but would have enthusiastically. I would have also kept reading if you had written more. The way you explain it, disincentivizing dirty industry makes sense in the most basic way. Polluting the environment should be expensive, not cheap. Unfortunately, a lot of PR is put out to neutralize your argument. And politics, especially in the US, is guided by that PR.
Too late to reblog this, but I can Tweet it out. It should be read. It's persuasive because it makes so much sense.

I'll certainly read the rest of the series and look up the book, too. I'm old enough to remember how Al Gore (in the 2000 election) was derided for making a case for cap and trade. All the wasted time, and we still are going backwards.
