Capitalism necessitates the commodification of all its subjects. The philosophies of Ayn Rand and late neoliberalism comprehends as a virtue the "equality" of capitalism in that each person, even the bourgeois, is a commodity beholden to the "free market" (meaning the system of depraving each individual to the equivalent of the least important commodity).
