Did you know that we are not talking exclusively those countries that we often refer to as "Third World". No, there are many people in the former Eastern Block (former communist/socialist countries) living on these types of inhumane figures.

Believe it or not, this is a fact. How do I know?
Well as it turns out, I have spent over two decades in a part of the "former" Eastern Block and know first hand from many a person from many a "former" Eastern Block nation what the very painful truth is.
True these people are not the majority of the above listed "OVER THREE BILLION" but they do exist in every city and town of the former Eastern Block.
So don't go automatically "assuming" that only "Third World" countries have high rates of poverty.

I'm not going to continue with these stats and facts, anyone who has access to this post has access to THE TRUTH and to all the facts and stats.

Feel like you can't change the world?
Sure, this is true, no one man can do this. However if you have ever heard the saying "Think globally, act locally" then remember that there is someone near by who is less fortunate than many of us who are reading this.
THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN AND THE FRONT END APP THAT WE KNOW AS "STEEMIT" ARE NOT OFFERING "HAND OUTS"!
WE ARE OFFERING A SOLUTION!
A solution that can literally change those figures listed earlier in this post.
It all depends on us, each and every one of us.
So, while some may be obsessed with making millions of dollars, there are those among us who are obsessed with seeing changes occur in this world where we can help make the quality of life change immensely for so many people.
When you see a fellow Steemian making money be proud of the fact that you too are a part of THIS REVOLUTION that we know as STEEM.
As the word spreads so too shall the number of new Steemians to whom $2.50 US a day = LIFE!
The number of people who shall become financially independent and be able to offer their children a better quality of LIFE!
Help another person today and you have given a human being an opportunity to believe in humanity again.
This may sound like a rant.
NO IT ISN'T.
IT IS THE REALITY OF WHAT STEEM HAS TO OFFER TO HUMANITY.
If one person who reads this thinks about it and starts realizing the potential we have here, this post was a success!

Excellent @jack, always m, e has worried the needs of others, and God told me one day, maybe you can not meet the need of everyone but of those around us, then imagine the famous theory of queues, and I thought if each of us helped our people, the world would be better.
Lack of drinkable water kills a lot of less fortunate children too. 30,000 a year is the number roughly. It is a strange world we live in, I believe if we can teach our brothers, even just a little, we can uplift the entire race.

I agree with you that Steem is a solution. However, similar to any tool, it's only as good as the intention of the users. Bad actors could use Steem to amass "wealth" to their own ring instead of using it to help other people.
Hope there are more people like you, who could see the bigger picture.
Great to see the positive of steemit to humanity.
Steem will become a house hold name and will provide for so many users in the near future. This is the future of Social Media as we know it guys.
A way to keep Steemit strong and to help a lot of people is to up-vote often, especially for posters with lower amounts of SP. It keeps people interested and motivated to continue. And as they gain more "wealth" in SP they can also spread the wealth to others by up-voting them.
The "simple" amount of 2.50 seems negligible to most but it is a life-saving reality the platform offers. Thank you for the reminder.

In Venezuela the basic food basket costs 30 STEEM approximately, the minimum salary is 1 STEEM, I am fortunate to work in the main oil company of my country, with 12 years of experience in the area of automation, however my pay is a little more than 2.5 STEEM. With 3 children and a wife
I see the hand of God over our lives. Because Steemit arrived at the right time, with which we have been able to obtain extra income to counteract this difficult situation, without luxuries but we have enough to eat and help others. In my house live 2 young students who do not have how to rent a room, and when the opportunity to help other people of our church arises, we have been able to.
In short, if God uses steemit to help economically in my life, besides knowing people like you who want to make the world a better place. Then there is nothing left but to thank Him and give glory to Jesus Christ. And we will support what we can.

Great info. So true most of us think of 3rd world countries with extream poverty. If you just take time out you can see it all around.
