This is why I dont 'bank' with a bank. I 'bank' with a mutual society where as a depositor or borrower I am automatically given an equal share in the ownership of the organization and have voting rights. By definition any profit must be witheld to either finance the society, or paid back to all owners in the form of improved interest rates for savers and reduced interest rates for borrowers.
Socialism does not have to be control by the state, any group can become co-operative for mutual benefit of all members. Many people fail to understand what socialism really is, and that you can have an economy with a mixture of approaches.
