Countries that use their native tongues and are successful are mostly not tropical countries.
For tropical countries like Malaysia, national IQ is already lower compared to colder countries. One way to catchup with the developed world is to use English, the lingua franca, directly in education of STEM subjects to reduce lag time.
Should Southeast Asian countries do away with the tribalist pride in their native languages and gradually adopt English as medium of teaching STEM subjects in secondary schools to promote economic growth?
