Ok, this is a big subject and there isn't one answer to it all. But there is a growing alternative to healthcare. One where the doctors don't take insurance. Insurance drives up the cost of healthcare. Insurance companies don't want to get sued so they require doctors to administer unnecessary tests just to cover themselves.
Also the paperwork required forces doctors to hire people to do the paperwork....compliance as it's called.
The possible answer. Direct Primary Care.
Direct Primary Care gives physicians the ability to charge patients a monthly, quarterly or annual fee which cover most services to your doctor except emergencies or catastrophic healthcare which you would carry a separate policy for.
Benefits to physicians are:
Decreased practice overhead
Fewer medical errors / less exposure to risk
Improved practice collections rates
More time with patients
Reduced patient volume
Zero insurance filing

Without insurance companies involved the cost of healthcare will go way down. Doctors will spend more time being doctors and not paper pushers. You get more face time with your doctor and the doctors income is more guaranteed and steady.
Find a Direct Primary Care doctor in your area and start paying much less for your healthcare.
The less government and insurance companies are involved in your healthcare the better and cheaper your healthcare will be.
