Sadly it's not only the millennials who've moved back in with their parents. I am a highly intelligent, college educated communications engineer and had to move back in with M.O.M. at age 47. I earn $8.16 now after taxes washing dishes - it's the only job I have found in over a year searching from PA to FL.
Good Times.
Deliver pizzas/food and buy cryptos like LTC (LiteCoin). When we were young, we were expected to have 3 careers during our lifetime. Today, it's 5 for the youngsters so a college degree doesn't mean much anymore.
Hey @lanceman I'm 49. About to be 50 in a few days. I'm so sorry to hear about your luck. I wasn't an engineer but an electronic technician for about 15 years. Then I was able to work selling stuff on the internet full time back in 2005. It was what I thought was living the dream. It is great but nothing stays the same. I've went from doing extremely well to barely paying the bills. It's not easy. There are no guarantees out there. I know it's hard to make the transition but you should consider mining or at least investing in cryptocurrencies in some way. The way I see it, it is a completely separate economy that gains value, at least for the next 5 - 10 years. Maybe more.
It is my opinion that to bring Manufacturing back to the USA will require the training of people to higher technical standards because manufacturing is not the same as days gone by. They won't be able to simply refurbish old factories and fire up old machines. That intelligence is gone and outdated Corporations would have to totally rebuild industrial cites and re-educate our people to create a proper manufacturing workforce.
Manufacturing may eventually come back to America, but the jobs never will. What use to take to run a factory 24/7 use to take 300 employees. Today, it can be done via automation, 50 or less.
We are not screwed even though it seems that we are. We must educate our children, friends and neighbors talk to people on the streets you meet about what is happening this will help to make it more difficult for things like this to happen again to our economy. You will be shocked to know how many people out there don't have a clue about what is going on. Education is the first real steps to take toward making a real change.
Teach people what you learn from this report and other reports you favor. America is still a Republic no matter what reports come out of Yale or Harvard -we just need to come together and take it back and we cannot do that if are not educated.
And do what you can to prepare. Start a garden talk to people around you about helping to grow food. I watch and learn from Hollis and Nancy
my problem is I live in the high desert so my dirt is not good for growing food so I am now learning how to turn sand into good dirt for growing food. learning to feed yourself out side of a Safeway Market or a Kroger's is the first steps to surviving hard times to come. Don't give up :)

Out here in Portland, OR we are in a massive housing bubble. Building is really hot here; we cannot find Carpenters for my projects. I have a Union Pipe Fitter foreman he needs 70 fitters for one job, and there are no one on the books to hire on. He said, “If they can’t find fitter’s for this project, I will quit and go to another company.” I have be trying 2 weeks to get a Journeyman Carpenter from 2 temp agencies with not one response, accept they have none. Head West!
Yet in everyday life everyone pretends this doesn't exist. As if there is no plan to fully indebt us and destroy the West. I see cryptocurrencies as a way to escape this globalist hegemony on money. I imagine a brighter future without the technocrats in charge who want all the money for themselves while we work to just survive.
Why are so many people not seeing this?
Because they've been heavily indoctrinated from 12 years of government schooling and "programmed" from television.

Thank you Dave. Don't know how you can keep at it like this but I appreciate your work.
Detroit is one of the examples how the standard of life went down in the course of the last 60 years.

SEC said SOME ICOs MAY come under SEC. Not all are covered and this was not a publication, just a press release.
