The QOTW draws to a close this week, with #newsteem flowing in full force and inspiring many to discover Steem in a whole new way. I believe there has never been a better time to be on Steem with these changes now in force, I can see and feel the shift happening and welcome changes that have been introduced to the Steem platform. One thing is for sure, despite many people feeling the strain of rewards being (temporarily) reduced, the community is getting stronger and we are inspiring and supporting each other more than ever.

When i launched this weeks question it was my intention to see what TOPICS and information had inspired us. I have personally learned a LOT from other people here as well as receiving incredible support from so many of you. I have to say, initially, i was somewhat surprised to see that virtually every one who wrote on this QOTW chose to speak about people that had helped them, rather than any specific topics.. maybe i worded the question badly, or maybe that is just how it is.. so many of us are here to post, engage, meet others and find support so that they can receive the rewards they want. I totally understand, however frustrating it CAN be sometimes to see the lack of engagement on many posts including my own. Since the ecoTrain gives its support unconditionally, there is no real incentive for people to do so.. . or is there!?

I would like to take this opportunity to remind and ask all of you who are here that there is SO much to learn from others, way past their up-votes and support. Let us not miss out on the golden nuggets that live in our feeds, there are so many people posting incredible things. Let us not get SO concerned with support and rewards that we may miss the real treasure that is also here, that is to say the community itself! We get what we give, and if you are one who is receiving great support, then i ask you to please consider spending just a little more time reading and commenting on posts that are in the ecoTrain feed. It is a very diverse feed, and there is always something for everyone. Of COURSE i don’t expect anyone to read and comment on even half of it, but taking the time to look and find even just one or two posts to engage with will also mean that your posts receive the that same extra attention.. and you will likely meet even more people who become your friends.

With that said, thank you ALL for joining in this week,. I can really feel the gratitude and inspiration that you have all received from others who have supported you.. As the ecoTrain motto states.. "TOGETHER we are making this world a better place"

If you are here for the first time, I would like to invite you to use our ecoTrain tag for all posts relating to sustainability, nature, spirituality, natural health, climate, environment, eco / natural building, gardening, natural medicine, and any other topic you feel is relevant. We are curating with a total combined Steem power of just under 50,000 Steem now, and would VERY much like to support good posts that cover these topics.

@porters

With the new #Steem @eco-alex thought he would have us bring it in with a positive upswing with this @ecotrain Question of the Week -

Share something or someone that you have discovered on the Steem blockchain that has inspired you or shifted your view, life or opinions.

I really had my eyes open when I came to Steemit and started engaging with people. I found there was amass of information and people willing to share and help. I was meeting all kinds of folks from around the world that I never would have come in contact with if I hadn't joined Steem!

@misslasvegas

In my life, everything is about inspiration. I was always a dreamer, and somehow I always knew deep inside that I was on the right track, whatever others might have said or thought. I never changed. With that, also my children's lives. I hope to inspire them not to settle in life and to only go for what they want, not what others want them to do or be. I always act on my inspiration. It can be right away, a week later, or a year, but during that time, the idea or inspiration has never left my mind. Visualize, focus, manifest. Really, my life is full of those.

@mrnightmare89

It's inappropriate to say "someone" I meet here because as time steeming on steem I meet lot of friends. But actually before I've meet these awesome guy's there's a one person who always encourage me and even supported me. When I joined steem I was like an ignorant minow don't know where to go and don't kmow what to do. I didn't much about in steem and even today I wouldn't say I know much here in steem. Before when I joined steem it's not a hindrance for having a low RC and low SP because I can post and comments a lot. Yeah I did lot of post when I just arrived at steem. But it didn't earn much because I haven't caught lot of audience of my writings and photos.

@wakeupkitty

The something I discovered after I gave Steemit a second chance was free-writing.

I joined @mariannewest her daily 5-minute freewrite and learned a lot about writing, the HF20 and much more.

Because I started freewriting I met @fitinfun, so she is the someone.
She guided and guides me through the Steem waters with all kind of tips (she writes tips for minnows), by encouraging me, tagging me if she reads something interesting or if there is a contest to join.

@rem-steem

While thinking about the QOTW of @ecotrain "Who inspires you?" I was not very sure what I'm gonna talk about. Coz there are so many people who inspire me, who help to make my journey smooth in Steem Blockchain, how can I sort them out! But, yeah there are a few people who are close to my heart.

@chrismadcboy2016

Good evening, tonight I want to share my little experience and most amazing discovered on the steem blockchain and this is my entry of QOTW initiated by @ecotrain hope you gonna love these content I made.

First of all, I would like to say sorry about what happened in the past few years ago I was in-active steemians due to much busy in the real world. That is why I stop engaging steem since 2018. But before that, you all notice why I show that picture because when I was started engaging steemit.com last 2017 I was been feed by @supassinggoogle the one that he gives me the strength to keep steeming in steem blockchain he always supported us and he never let us down until one day his gone. He stops supporting but I never stop blogging until one day I found the new app they called discord server and the first server I join is Minnowsupport I was verified since my first month engaging the steem blockchain.

@priyanarc

When I came into this blockchain I had no idea about steem or anything even don't know anything. I still remember I have wrote some shit content but those still made me smile.. Lolll.... But one name I wanna mention first who helped me to start my journey was @azizbd and @steemitbd . Well, my native Bangladeshi community who helped me to understand a little bit about steem and how to write post. I still remember he explained me for one hour about steem and he said oneday I will shine....

@tryskele

According to Mirriam-Webster's Dictionary humanity is defined as:

1 : compassionate, sympathetic, or generous behavior or disposition : the quality or state of being humane
2 : the quality or state of being human

I have always believed that if people just communicated and learned about each other and their cultures then the world would be a better place. While Steemit may not be perfect it has far exceeded my expectations. I have made friends in places I have only seen on a map and unsure if will ever make it off my continent. Yet even what I have seen from this side amazes.

How are you all good and always be healthy This blessing and wish I shared with you a very important video today.

What I'm trying to say in the video is that with the help of them, I've been able to come so far today and who helped me, and for whom I continue to work on this beautiful platform today.

@nainaztengra

So coming onto the QOTW; it's been 2 years+ for me on Steemit, and I have come across some really genuine beautiful people from who I have learned a lot, there are times where certain authors you relate to and connect with so fast and certain who leaves a deep impression on you. While I have many names to mention as I really see myself also evolving when I come across some specific content. Like I am always touched with the #familyprotection post which has so much of purpose in their initiative towards the Children. In this category @taliakerch is one of my favorite author. Then there are all the #naturalmedicine post which are of my great interest as I get to learn so much on the different natural therapies through some amazing content creators, but here again @porters is one of my favorite as I really admire her knowledge in the plant space.

@olivia08

Hello everyone! So happy steemit.com is now going on #newsteem, new way how to and what will be our contribution to this blockchain? What I observed how the people reacted when all steemit site were down. Even me, I thought it was the end of my craziness of loving steemit. Eagerness and craziness penetrated to my mind and heart down to my bones, when I started steemit As I always said, Steemit changed my aspects and self eSteem. I insighted a positive feeling on it

Hello Friends,

I have already said why I love the @EcoTrain. one more reason I am saying today is that they have wonderful questions that are asked every week. Just as we can share many things through this questions, our awareness of many things is created and our desire to be more active with the blockchain.

@riverflows

As I write this, Steem’s going through a Hard Fork with the usual hiccups that come when one tries to achieve something vastly complicated. The wolves are at the door, howling at those they see as responsible for any perceived failings and inadequacies, rueing supposed wasted hours tapping out blog posts and hoping for huge upvotes to prove their worth and eventually make their riches. Ah, how we all dream, and expect things to come easily, or to remain the same! But the wonderful thing about technology is that is always in flux, always growing. If this wasn’t it’s nature, we’d still be throwing messages in bottles for them to land on distant shores or rub ochred ibyx in firelit caves. I doff my virtual cap to the developers and witnesses who are trying to make this hugely experimental form of social media better - even if mistakes are made along the way.

@stortebeker

Inspirations of Successful Homestead Bloggers At this point I'd like to mention the first people that have inspired me when I arrived on this platform more than two years ago. The guy who I immediately knew I wanted to be like him when I grew up, is the one-and-only @papa-pepper! He had been here for a lot longer than me, and his wallet was full of Steem, and what's more SP. To make it even better, he would engage and interact with others, including myself, which surprised me positively. I wanted to be like that! Blogging about my everyday doings (catching snakes and eating wild flowers), while supporting interesting bloggers.

@artemislives

My steem journey has been remarkable, in that it has hot-housed three HUGE issues in my life which I have grappled with. Each one of these issues has been brought to me by a special steem-teacher-mentor and I would like to appreciate these three leaders, and the learnings they have brought along with their juicy upvotes, tech-nerd advice and endless encouragement.

I appreciated the chance to really consider WHAT I have been learning from steem, as well as WHO those primary teachers were. Grateful for this exercise and considering too, how I can be more effective at supporting the community beyond my curation. BTW I DO read every single post which uses the ecotrain tag, comment on 99% of them (other than pure spam) and upvote 95% of them. Pleased to be able to do that, and encouraged at the endless growth and evolution. Thank you @eco-alex for your leadership.

Your curation skills are second to none, as is your commenting! I cant thank u enough for what you do for EcoTrain and others! Xxxx

I completely agree to that, @artemislives I do not think that anyone can come even close to you when it comes to curation. You are simply awesome in doing that and your comments are always very valuable and shows so much of your involvement. Thanx for being there all the time

Let me address my sincere admiration for what you do, @artemislives. I've been trying to read everything, but get regularly overwhelmed. In the end I resigned to the fact that I may find gems on the @ecotrain as well as in other places. Those ones I comment on. But I also want to avoid simple "good post, nice job" comments that don't have anything to say. In the end, I'm sure I'm missing out on the BEST posts, but if I can express what I liked about the ones I did see, then everything is good.

I missed this topic
But I am glad to see a quick mention of @mariannewest and freewrites that kept me here through the first leg of my journey here

Will have to drop in some of these posts ❤️

Yes you will ;) thank u!

Another one I missed. I can see why for most it becomes about the people rather than the topics. Even when the topic is inspiring, what more inspiring is often the people it's coming from and the support they offer. There is more of a connection there I guess.

I think a lot of people are getting time poor of late and struggling to keep up with engagement. I know I've been struggling.

Posted using Partiko Android

We'll never be time poor, as we still have 24 hours every new day, just as always. But now there are more things vying for our attention. Not so long ago, Steem was just one of these these things. Now it has quadrupled (to say the least), where the QOTW is only one of the many Steem related things around us. Oh, and THEN there is the rest of life still out there...

Haha! Very true. We create more activities for ourselves, but not more time.

Posted using Partiko Android

I am going through some of the content and I feel overwhelmed by the amount of gratitude that is getting expressed out here. Thank you for sharing

Thanks for the mention. It's great to see all those nice posts. :)

Hello, @ecotrain We send you a cordial greeting from Venezuela.

Just last night I saw the publication of @artemislives and it led me to read you, we are pleased by the work you do and support the communities.
Although it is too late to answer your question, I must say that the person who made us get here in everyday life and digital life is Professor Gregory Ortiz @kantos, he runs our Musical Kantoría Foundation for 10 years doing great musical and social work, currently we are 10 young people, but has had many more, but many have left the country, Venezuela.
@kantos is in Steem since March 2018, and a month ago approximately created an account for us, is teaching us day by day to generate our own income.

Soon We will talk a little more about us @fundakantoria, but on this day my intention is to thank you through this comment to our teacher, dad and friend.
We hope to be attentive to the next questions that you ask around here #ecotrain, it is a pleasure to meet you.

Gracias por la mención @fundakantoria, y gracias a @artemislives por su ayuda a mis niños desde el principio.
También es un placer conocerle, amigo @ecotrain

Thanks for supporting such great posts!

You initiate a good move to encourage Steemian to be stronger in Steem Blockchain. Thank you so much for sharing your kind works with us. Regards.

Great all these entries. To be honest I do not see the positive change yet.
It looks as if most I met daily are gone.
Out of 10 not even 1 comment!

Who says the rewards are temporarily reduced?
If you are low on the ladder you will hardly earn and there is no way to grow/power-up.

It is like my kid says: Just like the real world, the rich get richer.

What is left from engagement, the social media? How do I sell this product to someone? If you invest 1000 euro you can write, comment and earn?

I hope you can answer this question since no one did till today.

Happy Sunday to all of you 💕
