RE: Harvesting & Using Rose Hips For Tea, Wine, Medicinal Syrup & Skincare

in #ecotrain6 years ago

This is super great! One of my favorites, and time to harvest, might be a little late here in Oregon. Might I suggest, as with my homemade infusion oils, especially if I use fresh herbs or dry to insure the top doesn't mold I add 1-2 Tbs of grain alcohol, usually it's tequila (100%agave that is, cause that would more likely be in my cupboard. It will kill off any potential mold from moisture in plants or jar etc. I'm sooo following you, this is right up my ally. I made a post ions ago that I would love to add this oil too, it is my dandelion, calendula, rose petal oil, so now I shall make some rose hips and add to that sounds amazing! Oh yeah and one of my favorite teas is mullein, rosehips and nettle tea... nom nom nom nom
