SERIE : INVOKING THE 4 DIRECTION SPIRITS IN YOUR LIFE.
Of course, the meaning of each direction is a bit different in each tradition. From the Eastern cultures to the American natives, the understanding of what each direction brings as qualities differs, as it relates to the land where people grew. So here I will describe my own understanding, from my own experience.
SOUTH DIRECTION :
This is the direction that embodies SNAKE MEDICINE. This is adopted for ex by the Q’uero from Peru.
The south brings Fire element in our life. Energy and Purification. It is a fuel and a cleanser. The Snake is close from the Earth, and slides like Water, but it has a FIRE quality.
The Snake shed its skin to release the layers from the past. It has the power of Innocence, as it knows the way back to the First Garden of Eden.
Working with South direction brings Purification, letting go of the past, it shows us our inner beauty. It brings Faith and Trust, as Strength and Purity.
To call the qualities from the South is to evoke the Snake within Us. Although the snake is not well connoted in our western Christian cultures, for the natives, it was the embodiment of Beauty, trust and Strength. It will help you heal your relationship and feel safe. It will show you how to slide on this earth realm and find your way with Grace. It will open your Heart to the Earth and give you the power to let go of the past and move forward.
It is a teacher about Sensuality vs Sexuality, about being vulnerable and beautiful. It shows us how to relate to our environment and how to adapt to what is.
It helps you to rebirth yourself, from your past and to welcome the new you. It gives you the courage to heal yourself.
It connects in the angelic realms with Archangel Michael, the leader of celestial armies, the Bearer of Truth.
The gemstomes associated are : Smoky crystals; citrine; gold; copper; steel; pyrite; pink carnelian; red carnelian; gold amber; red amber; amber calcite; blue amber; yellow and gold fluorite; fire opal; iron ore; lava.
It is predominant in late childhood, teenage time and early adulthood. It is the Summer. The red color of the Sun in the desert. It is the Grace that cleanses everything we don’t need anymore.

To the winds of the South Great Serpent,
