RE: Welcome To Orgiva!!! The most Interesting Town on The Planet!!!

in #ecotrain7 years ago

This is a place I would give up everything in my life and live there mate! I will even go further in my statement...this is the real life that we are supposed to lead...freedom, nature, happiness, no stress, children playing freely without any fear! This is so rare to find nowadays in most parts of the world!
Enjoy each and every moment there mate!
Cheers!

✅ So true, we are moving away from a natural family/community-based society towards a very distracted and disconnected society. It's great to have modern conveniences, medicines, etc. but we really need to find a middle ground in the way we live. We need a return to nature and supportive values.

👪 A worldwide "everyone turn off your damn electronics and spend time with your family and friends" day wouldn't hurt either!

Yes yes yes! Let's make this happen.

One whole day without Steem, are you crazy!? 😜

We are in love with this place, we have looked for land here but have not found anything with its own spring. Thanks @progressivechef,

I think places like this are the future and we should all start leaning towards this type of life if we want to keep this planet alive.

Thanks for stopping by my friend :)

do you not think rainwater harvesting could be enough if you have big enough storage? In taos the have 9 inches a year but use water several times over and manage to make it work?

Im curious also,, how much very approximately does a plot cost over there, lets say the cheapest option ?

It just doesn't rain enough here, it's so dry.
We are at the bottom of a mountain so there are springs but even these can dry up in the heat of the summer.

The other thing is the land, there is not much that hasn't been sold, and what is left can be quite expensive as it has become very popular here.

An average plot of land of about 2000 square meters cost around €20-40k without water.

We have looked here for 3 years but it's not easy, Portugal is much cheaper and has more water but nowhere can compare to Orgiva.

thanks for that info mark.. good to know..it SOUNDS to me like if you have enough storage you could manage IF you have springs.. but you do need huge tanks to get through the dry times.. but hey you have seen it !

and yes, im sure Portugal has much cheaper plots WITH water. .so that is worth remembering
