I've been at it every day for a few years now after a break of a few years. I seem to be in a bit of a monkey mind rut. I have found that whenever I start back after a break, I have a few days of challenge and then a run of near cosmic experiences, followed by some serious rut. I think I need to change up some things. It's almost like it has gotten too routine.
The first thing in the morning bit is crucial for me. I realized I need to do it before any internet and also before any coffee. Coffee turns monkey mind into monkey crackhead. It's totally uncontrollable at that point.

I've done a bit of chanting. I did the gayatri mantra for a short time, and I have done some Native American singing in ceremony, but I haven't done chanting in conjunction with meditation. Clara also suggested dancing. I'd like to try both. It's a bit of a challenge because we are 5 people in a one room house, but I usually find a way to maneuver.
