Welcome to my Steem page. My name is Sethi and I am originally from Belgium. After finishing my studies in Early Childhood Education and Special Educational Needs I worked in various schools in Belgium before deciding to move to Thailand. It is here that I started the second part of my educational Journey.
Once here, I spend my first year abroad as a volunteer, before going back into teaching. I have now been working for a number of years as a full time Year 1 Classroom teacher and teach Computer Science to Year 7 and 8 at a local International school where I am also the ICT/CS Subject leader. I have a very supportive wife, who is always helping out as I try to find the time to combine family life with full time teaching and my EdTech exploits. Together we have a 3 year old son who loves to try new things and is often much better at them than me ;-) and recently we found out that we have another little explorer on the way!
I have always had a real passion for Technology and the use of technology withing education. I maintain both a blog and YouTube Channel where I aim to provide information, tutorials and useful links I have used with my classes and I hope you will find my posts useful.
As of May 2015 I am also a Certified Google Educator and recently I have completed my AppsEvent Certified Admin Level 1 and 2 Qualifications as well as the Common Sense Digital Citizenship Certified Educatorm, Google Certified Trainer Programs and am an Edmodo Certified Trainer.
As I am already blogging and recording training video regularly, I am hoping that this Steem Page might show you another side of my Journey. The journey to improve and grow in my own understanding of these tools. Where my Blog is more factual and shares trainings I would like this Steem page to be about my 'personal experience' with Technology and how I use these in my daily life and teaching practice. Thus you can expect me to share anecdotes, stories, reviews, experiences and other discussions in regards to EdTech.
I really hope you will enjoy reading this and in doing so learn something along the way. The same way I'm hoping to learn as I continue to Blog, Record and Steem!
Thank you
