The story was said of a master who was going on a journey and decided to entrust his wealth to his servants. To the first servant he gave 5 bags of gold, to another, he gave 2 bags, and to another, he gave 1 bag. After the master went on his journey, the first servant put the 5 bags of gold to work and in the process gained 5 more, the second also had a productive mindset putting the 2 bags of gold given to him to use gaining another 2 bags making them both gain 100% returns on their investment. The last servant, having a greedy and foolish mentality decided to keep his bag of gold and gained nothing.
The master came back from his journey and rewarded the servants who put their money to work and gained more as a result but condemned the servant who decided to withhold the bag of gold given to him.
This is a parable used by Jesus in the Bible that every Christian knows about and has a deeper meaning into the dimension of wealth. It tells us the secret to wealth and despite the fact that many of us know about this story, we still are unable to understand the insight the parable was giving. This is why | have decided to state the obvious today.
The only way to make wealth is through using what you have, not keeping or saving it. While growing up, we were also taught by our parents and teachers that it is good to save up what you have or to keep what you have, so that we have something to fall back on when there is an emergency or crisis. While this information meant no harm, it still made a lot of people into the last servant who decided to hide/keep their own bag of gold.
The fact is:
• No one can ever become wealthy by saving up the money they get, you only enrich others through this.
• Saving up funds without investing them wisely would only make you a part of the rat race
• lt would make you a slave to the financial system, which always makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.
How then is the best way to make wealth?
A lot of people have given different opinions on how to do this, but | would say it in these four words, 'Never Withhold Your Gold. No matter how meager your earnings might be, put it to work. As you earn, and invest, it can be stocks, it can be real estate, it can be in lives also. If You think you don't earn enough, invest more in yourself, and learn more skills which in turn help you earn more from them. Just make sure you ain't withholding anything and you would be surprised at the massive growth you would achieve over time.
| would leave you with this scriptural word in Prov
11:24 "There is one who scattereth and increases yet more and there is one who withholds more than is appropriate but gains poverty.’
DO NOT WITHHOLD AND WATCH YOUR MONEY WORK FOR YOU....
