Looking up into that sky in a clear night, one always wonders "how far does that universe spread ?". If you just started thinking about it and your thoughts travelling through that space at the speed of light, ummm you would not even cross our own galaxy in your lifetime. It takes 25000 years to reach our nearest galaxy Canis Major.
Shape of you and Shape of the water both have been trending around for a while . Lets's add Shape of the Universe to it and now it's a Trendy Trilogy.
Shape of the universe is just a game of dimensions. We are well familiar with our favorite 3 dimensions and the Time as well but physicist are well aware of 11 to 12 dimensions and so are the quantum physics bugs. Do you know what the shape of a tesseract is ? It's a 4 dimensional cube. It. looks like a work of M C Escher .
OK enough of talking let me imagine you all how does our universe look like. In the first place we all thought Earth is flat and some still do (; Lets assume we still think the same. So there is a planet just with water and no land at all. some aliens just kidnap you up in in a UFO and leave you at the planet water. All you have to do is find tha land.

So you are still unaware of the shape of a planet and you are sailing across the vast ocean in the search of land. You are travelling through that ocean for years and years but you never find the end of the ocean. So now you are thinking that the planet is too big with a Billion miles long Ocean. One day the Aliens come back and take you up into space let you sneak through the window and you see this
Now you laughing at yourself and calculating how many times did you travel across that planet without even knowing it.
We have the same problem with understanding the universe and it's shape. If the theory of multiverse is true and some day the aliens arrive here and take us through the journey beyond our universe, we will look back at our universe and say oh so that's 'the shape of you ' (;
