Society are formed with different noble pursuits. These things are made because it is functional. It was made because of its nature, its effect towards the people and its connection with other societies. No matter what kind of society is that, these would make that society stable. These things would allow different societies to interact with each other that might result to development and collaborations.
Education is an aspect of a society wherein most of the people are engaged. I said "most of the people" because even though education is a right, some of us are unfortunate enough to be sent to formal education. Education is an important facet of the society because it is the first place wherein the future is forged, a place of development, a place of breakthroughs, a place of social interaction and a place where dreams are slowly becoming reality. Opportunities are boundless when someone has formal education and was equipped with sufficient knowledge and right attitude. However, coins always have a second side. This aspect also have its downside.
Does education still function in a way it was supposed to function? Does it still produce the students that they want to produce? Students just like me, and each one of us are expected to play their role in school. Engaging ourselves with the chalk and talk way, looking at different videoclips that are related to the discussions, flash quizzes after every lessons, assignments and projects, major exams and other stuffs that a student usually goes through. These things are okay, they are completely okay but it is a different story when it will be bombarded upon us. Although we have a choice to ignore this, the consequences that awaits when it would be ignored are costy. Those things above are the responsibilities of the students but too much of "responsibilities" would affect our mental health and well-being. Being mentally stressed is a no joke, it affects everything we do and everything that surrounds us. This ill-state of mind doesn't unlock our possible opportunities and hinders us from being at our maximum potential. Too much numbers of tasks entails pressure on our sides and often leads us to settle for an accomplished but low quality kind of output. Some may reason out about how we handle ourselves but that kind of concept isn't enough. It is easier said than done. It is a totally different story when you face the problems face-up.
I strongly suggest to consider the students' sides when it comes to handing out the tasks. Educators needs to collaborate with each other and put themselves on the shoe of the student. A sufficient amount of concern will totally change the game. Tasks may develop our skills and abilities but too much of it will not help at all. After all, mental health and well-being will always be the priority at the end of the day.
