This academic year, both teachers and students of Sukma Bangsa School, located in Lhokseumawe, Aceh-Indonesia, celebrated Ramadhan month at school by having some religious activities. It was started at 8.30 a.m until 14.00 p.m in the afternoon. It was held at the first week of Ramadhan. The activities were managed by the teachers as the committee in this program. The participants were all students of grade seven and eight from Junior High School and grade ten and eleven from Senior High School. Actually it was obligatory for the students to join this program, unfortunately not all of them participated because of any reasons. The purpose of the program was to maintain students' religious characters, to improve their knowledge about how to worship in Ramadhan month, and to embed virtue through some competitions held in this program.
First, teachers and students pray Dhuha at "Musholla", a place for praying which is similar to mosque. Then, they recite some verses in Alquran and learnt to memorize them. Teachers help this process a lot. They guided some students in reciting Al-quran when they did mistakes in "Tajwid" (pronunciation) or "fashahah" (fluency.
Next, some competitions were held for students, they are Ranking 1 and Syarhil Quran. It aimed to train their knowledge about Islam. The events were also to practice what they have learnt during Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) class. Additionally, through the competition, they can be more responsible on accomplishing their task in group by presenting their best in front of public. The competition was also claimed good for upgrading their confidence in Speaking.
Besides, the school community learnt about how to bath "Jenazah", the dead body, based on the procedures in Islam. Several experienced guest teachers were invited from the village to demonstrate how they treat "Jenazah" starting from bathing, clothing, praying, and burying. They did the simulation very well. Most of the students looked curious so that they questioned very much.

Those are some activities that have been lasted at Sukma Bangsa School in Ramadhan month this year. We expect that our students achieve the learning goals during this one-week activity.
