I want to see everybody's thoughts on college education. I will be graduating in a year with my BSBA in Economics and an MBA and I have been reflecting upon my time in college and trying to think of the good and the bad.
College has been a great experience for me. I have made some lifelong friends, met my girlfriend of two years (to date), and have gotten a pretty good education. I have made stupid decisions and great decisions and have started to really know who I am as a person.
I wanted to hear what everybody thinks about college. Where can it be improved? Is it worth it to you? Where should the education system go from here?
I have spent many hours learning fascinating content and many hours trying to keep myself awake in class. I think classes that teach in a lecture format are obsolete and I believe that a lot of the knowledge that we gain in college is lost because it is not reasserted continually throughout our education. Just like anything, once you cease to practice, your skill level begins to fall. Life is a game of learning and there is always more to be digested, it's just a matter of the best way to go about doing so.
