Fifteen years ago, I am nowhere. I am nothing. I am just a kid thinking and dreaming the world that full of imagination and fantacies. I am just an ordinary child who had lack of knowlegde about the world, a bully son of a drunker, a son of a farmer and the least, I am a son of a broken family. :( :(
Ten years ago when I'm in my 6th years of my elementary, my father left us and never come back again. It was so hard for me to accept those reality, but in some fact, I need to face the truth that he left us and I also need to fight for my future in order to give name to my family, and bring them to success. I am the eldest of the three siblings. So I need to be strong with myself and stand with my own feet. As the days passed by, I earned the third highest honor during our graduation day. I was so happy to have those achievement by that time. But in the other side of my head, I felt so worried knowing I cannot continue to study in high school due to financial assistance. My mother who raised me is just a farmer and I know she was not able to send us to school for the another step of my study. What I did is to stop schooling for a while. Two years later, I realize that it was not good if I will continue that life of being a farmer forever. I need to do something to change my life. I dont want that life to be experienced for my kids soon. So, I decided to continue my study. Even I know my mother cant support my needs in school, I used to be a working scholar of my blessed cousin. Sometimes, I served as a "trisikad" driver at night, and a water vendor at the street during weekend. It was mylife during my first year in high school.

During my second year on the secondary education, an opportunity knocks on my door. One of my aunt who is fortunate enough ask me to stay with them in thier house and offer to send me in school but at the same time I offer my service to them in return as a helper on thier household chores. Also, our agreement is studying only in high school. They were not responsible for me to send in college due to financial rason. And I understand that siatuation. Whats my goal is to finish first my secondary education, beacause I know if I'm done with my high school years, theres a lot of opportunities that awaits me in college. So I leave my cousin and I accept that offer of my aunt. It was a great opportunity that happens to my life by that time. Because of them I finished my secondary education. I was so thankful to the Almighty God for giving me those blessings.

Three years later when I'm in my fourth year of high school, I started to visit and inquire some of the universities in the city, the University of Cebu Lapu-lapu and Mandaue.

And most of all they were very known to be a producer of a topnotchers and board passers for thier graduates. Last month, they produce and owned all the Top Ten spots in Naval Architecture Liscensure Exmination.")

I inquire about the schalorship that they offer and without any hesitation I comply the requirements that they were given to me. Few months later after submission, I am so lucky, I was hired even I'm not already graduated in high school. I was assigned at the School Clinic in the campus. My life of being a working scholar has change differently than my normal life. I need to giveway some of my hobbies and manage my time very well. In short I need to sacrifice. I took the degree of Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation. I thought it was an easy choice of degree but I was wrong, It needs to have a strong personality, courage, dedication and hardwork in order to be a an effective seafarer. But it all happenes already, I dont want to go back, I made myself ready for this, this is my ambition and my dream, that is why no matter how high the waves awaits us in the ocean, no matter ho far I'll go. I will stay and live this dream, until I reached my goal which is to become a liscence profesional Master Marineer someday. Now, I am currently graduated for my degree last week (March 20, 2018) and I start searching for a shipping company for my apprenticeship.

I am so thankful to everyone who become part of this success, its a milestone towards the start of my journey in the real world of seafaring!
