The mind is likened to a camera. What it captures is what it will reproduce. The mind of man does not think in letters, words or numbers but in pictures and images. It has mental activities that are carried out by two (2) departments… The Conscious and the Sub-conscious mind.
- THE CONSCIOUS MIND: The conscious mind : This refers to the things we do at will and have full control over. This refers to our deliberate and conscious activities. This part of the mind is mostly influenced by our senses or sense organs.
- THE SUB-CONSCIOUS MIND: The sub-conscious mind on the other hand is that part of the mind that contains feelings, emotions, ideas etc. that we are not conscious or aware of. For example, when you dream, it is a function of your subconscious mind. You did not invite the dream or influence it. Flashes of thought that comes to your mind are products of the subconscious mind.
Therefore, the combination of conscious and subconscious mind is what drives the individual lives.
