In a discussion of teachers, one student was told to be very grudging to his former teacher. To the extent that, when his former teacher greeted him, the student said he did not know the teacher. Apparently, he harbored a grudge over the behavior of his teacher who once punished harshly when he was still in high school. The event that had been experienced by the student had long since passed, but the psychic wound caused a grudge that had not been removed until now.
There are pros and cons of the incident. There are teachers who feel that punishment is usually done to discipline a child. There are also those who argue that punishment without anger does not have much effect on students. But there are opinions which more interesting for us to examine and we apply in teaching our students, that is to punish with love, will not leave a grudge, is that right?
During this time, many incidents about a teacher's bad behavior in teaching are in the spotlight of society, an event that is deemed to tarnish the image of the teacher. Recently a very uncomfortable incident happened, which happened in East Kalimantan, some elementary school students were treated unethically by their teachers. This is done by the teacher because the students can not memorize the tasks of the lessons given.
The second event took place in Balikpapan. A child is unlawfully punished by his teacher. Teachers argue that the punishment was given because the ice cream that the student had just bought littered the floor. When the incident arose the surface and known to the crowd, some responded that the teacher should not be blamed for it may be that his students have gone too far.
1. Classroom Management Problem
What kind of student behavior causes you to punish ?. Maybe we as teachers will give answers because students are not disciplined, lazy to learn, procrastinating tasks, slow, ditching, smoking, talking during the learning process, disobedience, and others. Instead, the students will complain about the behavior of teachers who are not interested, favoritism, incompetence in teaching, too demanding, rigid, hard, excessive in discipline, quick temper, and others.
I see this teacher's behavior problem more because of the lack of teachers learning the many ways and methods of learning that are widely available. Teachers have not optimally made personal approaches to students. The teacher's respect for students is still low. Teachers lack an assertive attitude of respect for students and their own efforts. Plus aggressive teacher behavior. All the more distanced relationships between teachers and students. Therefore, by encouraging teachers to respect their students, fostering teacher confidence that every student has the potential to move forward and develop, and avoid the teacher from giving threats and violence, the problem can be solved.
2. Communication Problems
Teachers have a tendency to get their students to understand. This is related to the heavy burden of the teacher's curriculum. In the principle of communication, if you want to be understood by the students, then the first thing to do by the teachers is to understand their condition first.
In facing of troubled students, teachers need to do the technique of "active listening" or listening with the whole soul. That is, the ear hears the tone and word, while the eyes hear and see the expression of facial expression. The mind hears, that is, trying to understand what is said, the heart also hears through appreciation of the feelings that are behind the words spoken, and the mouth hears by describing the feelings that captured the speaker. The point is how teachers can foster good relationships with their work environment by developing intelligent and effective communication.

A teacher not only teaches knowledge to his students but also educates them. To educate, not to teach in the field of ethics or to be a teacher of religion Teach in any field, in fact every teacher, can apply education for his students, namely teaching with the heart @herryzal

I really agree with you that we as a teacher must be patient in facing the students. They just need teachers' attentions. If the y did a mistake, we have to punish them with love not with anger. Thanks for sharing a
