I think your money was well spent. What you're describing seems more structured than just picking out YouTube videos to watch. Although I will say that there are some gems on YouTube.

One of the best things I've seen on YouTube is the entire set of lectures for Human Behavioral Biology at Stanford given by Robert Sapolsky. There are 25 lectures and the first is here.
Thanks for the review of Peterson's offering in this realm. I'm a fan and agree with many things he talks about. I have seen lots of his videos and I understand his approach to the things he chooses to talk about. He differentiates between literal truth and a higher psychological truth. He seems to not like to answer questions on what he believes regarding the literal truth of Bible stories yet he strongly feels that the moral of the story is universal and crucial to Western civilization.

Thank you. I was not aware of this course, though to be fair, it's Sapolsky, so I'm not surprised it impressed you so much. I think he's on our syllabus at the Intro to Psychology course, too. He's such a legend.
100%. I think it's very important, even if one doesn't identify as traditionally religious, to be open to the wisdom and symbolical interpretations of the Bible. Losing a whole lot if you close yourself off to that simply because you don't 'do' religion.
