Irwandi Invites Students to Increase Achievement

Banda Aceh - Governor of Aceh, Irwandi Yusuf invites students in Aceh to improve their achievement so they can compete both at National and International level. This was conveyed by Irwandi when he opened Parade of Arts, Science and Religion (PASCAL) to VI in SMA 10 Atas Fajar Harapan, Saturday (27/01/2018). PASCAL activities, said Irwandi is one of the creativity event that is expected to strengthen the reasoning and thinking of the students of Aceh. In the event, the participants not only compete in the field of science, but also a tough race in the knowledge of religion, art, and language.

"With these activities we hope that Fajar Harapan will be able to pursue the achievements both nationally and internationally," said Irwandi. Irwandi said that the artistic, science, language and religion education is a capital that can touch the hearts and minds of learners to be able to build a generation that has knowledge, faith, taqwa and noble mind "To give birth to students with such behaviors, each school should not only focus on developing a formal learning system in the classroom, but it is necessary to initiate a creation event outside the classroom in order to increase the spirit for achievement and more critical thinking," said Irwandi.

Government of Aceh said Irwandi give serious attention to improving the quality of young generation through education sector. Even the Aceh Government budgeted 20 percent of APBA for education funding. "There are three main programs run by the Government of Aceh in this field of education, namely Aceh Carong, Aceh Meuadab and Aceh Teuga," said Irwandi Irwandi explained that the Aceh carong program emphasizes the achievement of Aceh education at the national level through the improvement of facilities, teacher quality, and system improvement. Meanwhile, the Aceh Meuadab Program focuses more on efforts to restore Aceh's khittah through the implementation of Islamic values. And Aceh Teuga program focuses on improving the resources of its young generation "Therefore the Government of Aceh encourages the spirit of achievement among our young generation to continue to be cultivated in schools that exist in Aceh," said Irwandi. As Head of the Aceh Government, Irwandi is very supportive of the event and hopes that the event will be held more colossally in the future.

The opening of the PASCAL event which was attended by 80 schools from across Aceh was marked by the beating of the ball and the release of balloons into the air by the Governor of Aceh, the Chairman of the Aceh Province PKK, the Head of Aceh Education Office and the Principal of SMA 10 Fajar Harapan.
