On Tuesday as I had traveled to my home village in konge which is in ntungamo district, in the western part of Uganda, I decided to do some tour around the nearby schools.
Most schools these ends are government owned and they are in good conditions which gives a nice and good environment for academic activities.
But here I came around one of government owned primary school called Window of Hope school located in Nyakayojo Rwakishakizi deep in the village.
.
This school has two buildings which are partitioned into seven rooms for the classes from primary one to primary seven. The rooms are not cemented and they have no concrete in them. Most if the pupils come to school barefooted hence putting their lives in danger of being attacked by jiggers and other vectors.
They have a small play ground where they all go there during breakfast and lunch to play, they play in this time because they have no food for lunch and porridge for breakfast instead the ones whose parents can manage to pack food for them, they are the luckiest and the richest during these breaks because they can be surrounded by alot of their fellows for a share.
The headmaster of this school told us that they submitted the letter to the district education officer of this place to get some funds for the meals and renovation of the classrooms, but he got a reply that there's no money in the office yet and that they are still waiting for the government to provide. It's so touching and really a misery to the kind of education our fellows here go through to challenge for the big job positions in higher companies.
This is because these children once God helps and they finish up their studies with bachelor degrees, they'll b challenging for the jobs with those who studied from the big schools on Kampala since from kindergarten levels to university level.
This is why most of them should get to know about steem.
I showed the headmaster and the teachers of this school the opportunity in steem but unfortunately, none of them had a smart phone and no one was willing to get one because their salary is too low and they have families to look after.
This is Uganda, this is Africa.
Thanx friends for reading.
Pliz upvote and resteem

Children are the future of a country.
Buds in a garden
'Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow,' said Jawaharlal Nehru.
I always pray for our education to improve and become more of practical.
