1 - A pair of British confectioners invented solid chocolate. The Fry and Sons shop concocted what they called “eating chocolate” in 1847 by combining cocoa butter, sugar, and chocolate liquor.
2 - Elephants have created their very own sunscreen. After a river or swamp bath, they’ll throw mud and sand up and over themselves to protect their skin from the sun.
3 - Milk is the only food that you can survive on wholly on, having every nutrient your body needs to live.
4 - International Sushi Day is held every year on June 1. Invented in 2009 as a way for people around the world to share their love for sushi.
5 - The Japanese name for Japan is “Nihon” or “Nippon” which means “sun origin”.
6 - Kangaroos have excellent hearing. They are able to move their ears in different directions without moving the rest of their head.
7 - There is a Museum of Broken Relationships in Croatia; you can go and leave there personal objects left by former lovers, accompanied by brief descriptions.
8 - Broccoli, cauliflower and artichoke are actually flowers.
9 - Sweat itself is odorless. It’s the bacteria on the skin that mingles with it that produces body odor.
10 - Roses are related to apples, raspberries, cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, pears and almonds.
