I couldn't agree more with you. Curiosity is being killed in our educational systems as a part, I believe, of a free thinking killing process.
Our systems are made to train people to have jobs, to occupy a space in a "factory", not to teach us how to live, nor how to be fulfilled human beings.
Things are definitely happening but we are still a long way to go.
Besides all the "alternative" systems out there like Montessori system, there are people doing amazing changes in the educational systems of their countries.
