Today I suggest painting with our little artists.
It's no secret that the younger the child, the more difficult it is for him to concentrate on long drawing. He quickly gets tired of the picture and loses interest in it. To prevent this from happening, small artists need to set a task that can be broken down into several different stages. Then, changing materials and tools, the little creators do not have time to get bored and with pleasure draw a picture, focusing on their occupation for a long time.
Today I propose to draw to you with the children this painting:
As you can see, here simple enough forms, linear drawing alternates with painting, and wax crayons are replaced by watercolors and a brush.
To create such a picture you need:
• wax crayons;
• watercolor paints;
• Heavy paper;
• Brushes;
• napkins;
• water
First of all we need to place bugs on a piece of paper. We pre-fix the sheet on the surface, so that it does not deform during the drawing with watercolor.
We draw the child's attention to the fact that one turtle is drawn in our profile, so the shape of the shell and the location of the legs change:
Next, draw cacti, so that the tortoises in the desert were not bored and lonely :) And they, of course, prickles! What kind of cactus without spines?
My young geniuses immediately demanded to colorize cacti. We colorize, we add more thorns (there are not many of them!), Finishing at the same time and flowers. Let them blossom!
Next, we turn to decorating turtles. There is complete freedom! Let them be dressy and funny :)
When the patience of children in the coloring of turtles is exhausted, we change wax pencils to watercolor and continue the process, but with a brush and paint:
Surely the children will ask to draw a sun. Without it, not a single drawing!
Draw the sun, but also decorative and fun!
And then we paint sand in the technique of pointillism. More points of different colors! Here already see for yourself - how much patience is enough for kids. And if you succeed in making the sand in the foreground (lower dots) brighter and more often, it will be quite good!
Our picture is ready! Turtles are cheerful and cheerful, cactuses are blooming, the sun is shining!

It's amazing how children can paint such personal, emotion pieces - things adults try so hard to accomplish - with such apparent ease! That watercolor turtle on the last picture, bottom right, looks super cool...
