Missing pieces - Compartmentalization

in #education8 years ago (edited)

The foundation of modern education is a well planned and agenda driven system that those attending from the outside may not know its true intention.

Compartmentalization is the process of putting ideas or concepts into boxes or compartments. This process actually separates ideas from other concepts such as Accounting Vs. Marketing, focusing on detail rather than the whole and so on. We also have to take into account the fact that in many subject areas, with exception of a few such as math, may also be lacking key data to fully know the issue being taught.

Critical thinking, logical deduction and the ability to put the parts into a reasonable and understandable whole are not taught to any extent in modern education systems anywhere..in fact the opposite is perhaps the common denominator. For if the common man or woman were able to fully know the truth of the matter then there would be no need for most of the products or services being offered today!

Mind mapping is one tool to battle against the system of missing pieces and compartmentalization...in addition to research of the topic in question; and the old Greek method of questioning and debate.

Think...that is, of your own conclusions, not that of others.
