Very brave post.
There are those who would willingly condemn you for it.
In my experience, some, not all, but some parents embrace having a "special needs" child, as a martyrdom of sorts.
Kids, like adults, can be extremely varied & especially complex in some aspects of their being.
I have come to be suspicious of the incessant encroachment of big pharma into children's medicine.
Just because a child has not fulfilled some arbitrary markers (which we use as diagnostic tools granted, but often forget they're tools, not definites) we assume the worst.
According to lore, apparently Einstein didn't begin to talk till around four.
Nikola Tesla (father of the modern world technologically speaking) was a frustrating loner (in both childhood & adulthood).
Where would we be, had we interfered/impeded the development of those minds with our drugs?
Anyway, well done.
