Good day everyone! Today I have a great urge to write on discipline.
Discipline! Discipline!! Discipline !!! This is a word that cuts across every area of life and human endeavors. It could be exercise at home, school, the community, a place of work, a church, a mosque, etc.
Discipline is one of the most important personality traits in everyone's life. It refers to a set of rules and regulations that are to be followed while undertaking any task or activity. It is a way of being honest, hard-working, motivated, and encouraging while doing any task. Is also a way of ensuring we obey laid-down rules and regulations wherever we find ourselves. which at times it may look difficult achieving it.
Discipline should be instilled in a child from childhood on. A child left to his or her own devices will become a liability to the parents and, in turn, a nuisance to the society and nation at large.
# DISCIPLINE FROM HOME
A child who is well disciplined from childhood on will mature into a disciplined adult, while a disciplined family will produce a disciplined and orderly society, and a disciplined society will produce a disciplined city and eventually a disciplined nation.
Discipline comes with a price, both for the parents instilling it and for the child receiving it.
PRICE OF DISCIPLINE:
To parents, the price includes: patience, endurance, perseverance, a teachable heart, tolerance, love, acceptability, consistency, etc.
To the child, the price includes teachable spirit, acceptability, longsuffering, the ability to adhere to correction, etc.
In the course of grooming our children, we should ensure that discipline is not only observe where we are around even when we are not there either at home, or at school, community, society that they maintain the act of discipline.
Discipline starts from home not any where else because that is the first contact place of any child.
It is high time for parents to sit tight, take discipline seriously, and ensure we instill it in our children and show it through our lives. It's time to practice it for them to see rather than preach it to them.
Let us speak right, act right, and live right for our children to see. There can be no more double standards in life if we want a sane family that will reflect a sane society.
Discipline comes with a great reward and gives peace to an individual, society, or organization.
This is a clarion call to us all to awake, embrace discipline, and instill it in our children for the better generation.
