Elasticity is the ability of a material or body to regain it's original shape and size after distorting force is removed.

Elasticity is classified into two
We have the elastic bodies and the inelastic bodies, the elastic bodies regain there original size and shape after distortion while inelastic bodies do not regain there original shape and size after distortion.
Every material reach a point in which elasticity is not obeyed. This point is the elastic limit.
Stress And Strain
The cause of deformation is known as the stress while strain is the effect of deformation.
You should know that an elastic material regain it's original size and shape after distortion while an inelastic body does not regain it's original size and shape after distortion.
