While I'm still stewing over the presidential race that was stolen from Bernie Sanders (at least the Democratic race) we are forgetting something more important, perhaps the more important reason why government hasn't functioned for the people in other words: we the voters is one for one simple reason. Congress. This congress that many agree has been the worse congress ever. This congress that has refused to work with President Obama on so many issues from creating a real jobs bill for one. Let's not forget how they have refused to do their job regarding the Supreme court situation as far as appointing the new Supreme court judge since the death of Judge Scalia which is downright ridiculous.
While everyone has been focusing on the presidential election, are we forgetting that there are also congressional seats that will up for re- election for November's elections? (All 435 House seats will be up, and 34 Senate seats) This may be more important than the presidential race for many reasons. These last four years have proven that. President Obama has accomplished a lot as president (despite the hate so many continue to throw his way) but he could have accomplished even more if the Republican controlled congress would have been willing to work with him.
Now there is a chance to make a difference again. There are too many issues at stake we cannot risk leaving with a newly re-elected Republican congress. We can make a difference here. As someone who voted for Bernie Sanders, I would prefer more progressive candidates, and how nice would it be if the Democrats were to gain control of the Senate. It would be even better if they would appoint Sanders as House speaker (of course the Dems would need to gain control of that too) With the way this congress has conducted itself I want to believe we have a chance to boot out many of these useless, spiteful people who became part of the furniture pretty much. That's how little they accomplished.
This is where voters can make a difference especially those who feel that not voting in the presidential race will make all the difference. Think again. These seats are just as important, and like I mentioned earlier in some cases even more important. With issues like equality, abortions, jobs, the environment, education; these are not issues the president alone can fix. And anyone who voted for Bernie Sanders should remember that he needs the help of his supporters in order to take back the congress from the republicans. This is one thing we can do for him. Now more than ever with a Clinton presidency or (Shudder) a Trump presidency (I still think unlikely) we need a new congress in the next coming election.

Both trump and Hillary are horrible we must go third party a reform will not save america.....third party is the last try after that we must use revolution as our salvation
Sorry but in case you missed it Bernie endorsed Hellery! He was just there to energize the party and then hand it over. He is just another sell out. As the hopI prophecy says .We are the one we have been waiting for.
He went back to being an independent but yes he did endorse Hillary. He didn't look happy about doing it at all. He has a better more progressive history than Hillary even so but I understand why its disappointing.
