The US mail bombs - a media stunt?

in #elections6 years ago

Something about these bombs doesn't add up because nothing here that suggests violence was intended. These bombs look nonoperative, and they were sent to people that don't open their own mail. Here is my conspiracy theory: This was a media stunt to cause chaos in our elections. Who would carry this out?

  • What would a nutjob gain by sending bombs that don't work?
  • What would "the right" gain by carrying out a violent act or possible bad press that would bring immediate blowback?
  • Why would "the left" threaten their teammates and risk the chance that they'd be caught and expose a leftwing conspiracy?

So who benefits from every side blaming the other and causing a major flame war on American media and social media? Who has a track record of planting disinformation or carrying out concocted events to manipulate the media, politicians, and the population?

Russia, Iran, or China.

Russia stole DNC emails (and attempted to steal RNC emails) and had them published in Wikileaks to cause chaos in America. It wasn't about colluding with Trump. Partisan gridlock due to a divided America keeps us focused on fighting each other instead of recognizing the shady, evil foreign policy carried out by other powers (and frankly, our own).

Sort:

The whole story has little incongruities. They add up to the whole thing not passing the sniff test, not to my nose.

Or maybe an unhinged guy who doesnt think rationally to make such political calculations ..
