European manufacturers are planning to build a hybrid electric test plane by 2020.
Airbus, Rolls-Royce and Siemens have said on Tuesday that they are partly conducting a full-scale commercial airfare test in 2020.
Companies say that the project will be based on the 100-seat regional aviation of a developed version. The project has been named 'e-fan x'.
These three companies believe that the baseline work of commercial flight can be taken by using similar electrical technologies before 2025.
Companies are going to use two-megawatt electric motors as one of the four engines of the aircraft. If the test is successful, then the second fuel-based engine can be replaced with electric motors.
In this regard, Paul Arreemenko, Chief Technology Officer of Airbus said, "The next important step in E-Funn X is to make electric flight a reality in a distant future."
Airbus Responsible Institution for Engine Connection with Flight Control. Rolls-Royce will create a Turbo Shafts engine, two megawatts generator and power engine. Siemens will supply Power Distribution Network.
However, these three European firms are not betting about the future of the aircraft carrier.
great post
thanks dear!
Hopefully it will make the cost less.
very nice
