Today is February 15th, the day that the government funding would have ran out and we would have had another government shutdown, but instead, it seems as though President Donald Trump will be using his executive powers to declare a National Emergency in order to acquire the funding for the Border Wall.
Donald Trump has defied fierce criticism to announce that he is using emergency powers to bypass Congress and pursue the building of a wall on the US-Mexico border.
At a combative, rambling and at times incoherent press conference in the White House, the US president insisted he had no choice but to declare a national emergency to stop illegal immigrants spreading crime and drugs.
There is already an outrage and call for protests happening because of this move. Could we be seeing an event similar to what was happening with the protests in France? Please leave your comments in the replies section below.
