Aceh is a province of Indonesia, Aceh is located on the northern tip the island of Sumatra and is the most western province in Indonesia the capital Aceh is Banda Aceh. The population of the province is about 4,500,000 inhabitants (Wikipedia, 2017). It is close to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands of India and is separated by the Andaman Sea. Aceh is bordered by the Bay of Bengal to the north, the Indian Ocean to the west, the Malacca Strait in the east, and North Sumatra in the southeast and south.
Aceh adalah sebuah provinsi di Indonesia, Aceh terletak di ujung utara pulau Sumatera dan merupakan provinsi paling barat di Indonesia. Ibu kotanya adalah Banda Aceh. Aceh berbatasan dengan Teluk Benggala di sebelah utara, Samudra Hindia di sebelah barat, Selat Malaka di sebelah timur, dan Sumatera Utara di sebelah tenggara dan selatan.
Aceh merupakan daerah dengan julukan serambi mekkah, kenapa serambi mekkah? Karena berdasarkan catatan sejarah, pada abad ke 15 nusantaralah yang menyematkannya karena keagamaan islam yang sangat kental yaitu berupa keimanan Dan ketaqwaan kepada Allah. Aceh dianggap sebagai tempat dimulainya penyebaran Islam di Indonesia dan memainkan peran penting dalam penyebaran Islam di Asia Tenggara. Pada awal abad ke-17, Kesultanan Aceh adalah negara terkaya, terkuat, dan termakmur di kawasan Selat Malaka. Sejarah Aceh diwarnai oleh kebebasan politik dan penolakan keras terhadap kendali orang asing, termasuk bekas penjajah Belanda dan pemerintah Indonesia. Jika dibandingkan dengan dengan provinsi lainnya, Aceh adalah wilayah yang sangat konservatif (menjunjung tinggi nilai agama). Persentase penduduk Muslimnya adalah yang tertinggi di Indonesia dan mereka hidup sesuai syariah Islam.Berbeda dengan kebanyakan provinsi lain di Indonesia, Aceh memiliki otonomi yang diatur tersendiri karena alasan sejarah.

Aceh is also famous for its forests located along the Bukit Barisan range from Kutacane in Southeast Aceh to Ulu Masen in Aceh Jaya. A national park called Gunung Leuser National Park (TNGL) was established in Southeast Aceh.

Pada saat itu Aceh adalah daerah paling banyak mendapat perhatian dunia sehingga Aceh segera pulih dari masa-masa paling sulit selain konflik berkepanjangan.
