The twins turned a year old today. As with most everything else, it happened on a weekday and we both had to work. I left the mine, picked them and their brother up from daycare and made the one hour commute home through the desert. Now that they are fed and down for bed, I have had time to think about the day.
As disappointing as it may be to work through the girls' birthday, doing so made the most sense. Everyone else we know would have been working, no party, am I going to share a cake with three toddlers and bum it around the house? Would it be better to plan an event to parade my little cuties around friends and family? Do they even care? All moot points because the day is done.
I think about how their day went. They were at daycare where their teachers knew it was their birthday. The teachers made little glitter "1" princess crowns and fed them sweets! They are considerate and sent us pictures of the activities so we wouldn't feel like we missed out on yet another milestone. God bless those ladies who are understaffed and underpaid for caring about the children when they could be just showing up and collecting a paycheck.
This year brings a lot of changes...maybe not changes... Action? Opportunity for changes at least. The copper price sits around 3.20 (companies get crazy with hiring and spending around $4). My company's stock has almost doubled in the last few months as a result. I started classes to finish a bachelor's degree i started 13 years ago just yesterday in hopes I won't be too late to capitalize on promotions and raises during my company's growth period. Cryptocurrency markets are booming and we've made a modest profit off those investments. I'm hoping for the same level of growth in the next 6 months as we got in the last 6 which would give us enough to pay all loan debt (#Americandream). Financial freedom is the dream for so many on America but we shouldn't have to juggle being owned by Banks or having some of the better things in life. I know plenty of people who just go without because of their mistrust in the American Financial system... That includes the rich. The difference is they can just pay cash for that stuff. I'd like to start a YouTube channel to share my experiences, but I've already had to type this up during bath time and dinner. Last, I'm about to have a three year old and two one year olds. Walkers, talkers, unpotty-trained and terrifying as hell.
I end today with no regrets a little homework and happy sleeping children.
