6 of Staffs/Wands reversed
Vintage Miss Cleo tarot deck
In the upright position this card represents victory and triumph after a great struggle.
In the reversed position, this card often represents fear of a victorious enemy, delays, paranoia, and things associated with fear of loss rather than actual loss.
About The Deck
I found this deck on eBay a while back. I ordered it as a joke. For the younger people who might not know Miss Cleo, in the late 80s early 90s she had a 1-900 number for tarot readings. She advertised on TV commercials, usually mid-afternoon or late at night. Her commercials were a little tacky and the actual psychics were more than a little questionable.
After ordering the deck and playing around with it a bit, it actually became one of my favorite decks. I love the Kemetic feel of the cards, the imagery, and even the interpretation booklet. Regardless of her business practices, she put together a beautiful deck IMHO.
Today's Energy
I think we're all living in a pretty scary world right now. It's easy to give in to fear. Paranoia is usually more about fear and uncertainty rather than the actual reality. News, social media, and even conversations with friends and family can fill us with doubt and uncertainty. Remember, the reality of the situation probably isn't as dire as your thoughts on the situation.
Analyze your position. Things probably aren't as bad as you fear. Make a stand. Success can be yours if you can get past your fear and anxiety.
We always tend to see things bigger than their trueselves. As a tarot learner I am trying to keep this in mind. It really can be helpful.
The card interpretations can be a little intimidating at times. I try to balance the meaning of cards with both positive and negative associations. The downside is this, while the upside is this.
On rare occasions, you sometimes get a spread that is all negative, and there is no other way to interpret the cards or put a positive spin on them. It's just a bad situation. These instances are usually rare though.
It's also important to look at the surrounding cards and how they interact with the negative card or cards.
When dealing with reversals, I tend to use the upright meaning just to a lesser degree. Sometimes if most of the cards are upright, I may even ignore the reversal, unless the reversed card seems to be directly correlated to the question. That's just how I was taught though.
Since last year's October 10th, it is the time that my best friend gave me the cards as birthday present, I am trying to balance everything. The cards can be all bad or can be all good. I think the important thing is the balance above all of the meaning and all.
I came across all bad for me and she told me if I want to continue she can try it but I refused for the sake of what I believe.
And for the revelsals I do remind myself both side of the meanings. It is a slow process right now since I amnot that used to it but better than nothing.
Thank you for all of these messages, I put these on my notebook for my daily reminder. 🖤
