Damn discord took you away from the Steem, I think that and twitter are the main reasons for reduced engagement for many.
If I had to second another guess, I would say it was BTC and the other cryptocurrencies waking up a little. I, like others who have been hodling some throughout the freeze had to talk to the communities to rebalance my holdings or whatever.
