Being away was a brilliant balance for me.
When we had breaks I just popped back to my cottage and responded to a couple of comments. I had a few very late nights but all in all it worked very well.
Without the structure of something else (i.e. the retreat) I fanny about a lot more and am way less efficient which equates to a lot more time in front of the computer screen.
Being on full time retreat would be an excellent option for me! π

I'm glad you were able to still spend some time on Steemit. I don't know who you went on the trip with, but I imagine they will make sure that you leave your laptop at home the next you go on a trip with them. Heh heh.
Not at all @themanwithnoname. I was only on the computer when I would normally have been reading a book or faffing about or last thing at night. So it made no difference to my partner at all. We were still able to do all the stuff we usually do on vacation - hang out, explore, eat out etc. π

I've never heard "faffing" before. What does that mean?
Faffing about - "to spend your time doing a lot of things that are not important instead of the thing that you should be doing".
Sadly I have a tendency to spend a lot of time faffing about. π
