This league is heating up. This is the highest cut off score that I recall seeing for the top 25%. Previously it's been sub 5K from memory.

I've noticed the same thing @sparkesy43! I actually keep track of that sort of thing, so here's an example for you:
On April 29th, I was 60th in the Engagement list... with 64 comments/16589 characters.
This week, I was 60th in the Engagement list... with 93 comments/23438 characters.
Things are definitely heating up! And I take that as a very GOOD thing!

It is absolutely a good thing, particularly while the Crypto market is in a bit of a bear run as the engagement now is likely to be from people that are onboard for the long haul rather than those that want to just hit and run for the money.
As the league grows, it will get higher and higher. Every new person that gets placed is going to knock an existing person out of the rankings. So if that person wants to get back in they will have to up their score ect....ect... and the vicious cycle begins.
True enough, though for the past few weeks it has hovered around that 4500 mark, presumably because as new people join the league, others become inactive.
Well I'm very new to the whole thing so i will bow down to your experience. But if the numbers were holding there, obviously there was a reason for it.
You would know a lot better than me who was in and out of the league so I'm sure that there were a lot of people who fade in and out. I know that I had to put in massive effort to place last week and straight away after I was just thinking that I can't put in that much time again.
From what I've heard janton has been consistently at the top of the chart so fair play because I don't know how that is even possible to hit those numbers every week.

Yeah @janton is a force of nature to be able to sustain that level for that length of time. I'm happy just to feature in the top 25% every week given the time constraints I have with work and family
His numbers are crazy. I am kind of tempted to knock him off there though and i am off this week so it could be done i'm just not sure if i want to put in that much effort to doing it. With that said, i am a massively competitive person and could give it a go.
Anywhere on the chart is decent and if you can make top 25% on a regular basis that's a great result. Once i'm back to work next week that will be my aim too. I'm not used to having this much free time to myself so it's interesting to see the difference it can make on steem. There were a couple of other contests that i entered at the same time and did ok with those as well so it was a good week in terms of progressing my account in followers and sp. I also saw lots of new parts to the site that i had never come across before like a "snake" game built onto the blockchain from the old Nokia games. That one was a lot of fun.
