"Los maté e hice algunas cosas a los cuerpos para ocultar las pruebas", dijo a la policía de Tokio el presunto autor de los asesinatos, que ha sido arrestado. En su apartamento encontraron restos de ocho mujeres y un hombre distribuidos en hieleras.
Upon entering the apartment, the police initially found two human heads inside coolers located at the entrance. And then he discovered the rest of the grisly find: the bodies of nine people quartered and stored in other portable refrigerators covered in cat litter.

It happened in an apartment in the Zama neighborhood south of Tokyo, Japan, where police officers have arrested the tenant, Takahiro Shiraishi, suspected of killing eight women and a man.

According to the local press, the neighbors had complained about the bad smell emanating from the place.

Shiraishi, 27, told police: "I killed them and did some things to the bodies to hide evidence."

Jiji Press indicated that the killer told the police that he cut the bodies in the bathroom. A saw was found in his room.

The police were investigating the disappearance of a 23-year-old woman and discovered a link between her and Shiraishi.

Both met through a forum for people who want to commit suicide, while the girl had previously posted a message on Twitter in which he said he was looking for someone to take his own life with her, reported the Japanese agency Kyodo.

On Monday of last week, they both took a train together at the Tokyo local Hachioji station to the suspect's address, according to images captured by security cameras.
