Greetings to the entire Steemit community, today I bring you my work done these days, it is an excerpt from the book Candy Candy Final Story; I must confess that I am an inveterate fan of this story, throughout my life I have had the opportunity to appreciate this anime for entertainment, but it was at age 27 when I really valued its content, after being traumatized with a tragic and inconclusive ending I decided to accept the wish of the author Keiko Nagita to leave the end of the story where we can understand two things: that Candy was finally alone or that later she would be with Albert, her benefactor.
My curiosity went further and I decided to investigate if there was an unknown sequel to Candy Candy, I found out about several things: 1) there are a lot of fans around the world in an impressive way who love the story 2) they are divided : Albert fans and fans of Terry, they will be impressed with how much they hate each other. 3) Candy Candy did not end in the end that gave us the manga and the anime.
The author decided to make a book divided into three volumes where the plot continued and finally told us clearly that the story was not only about the girl who teaches us to face all the problems with a smile but also talks about three loves, the ephemeral (Anthony), the passionate (Terry) and a quiet love destined (Albert), after many years facing a lawsuit against the illustrator (Yumiko Igarashi) decided in 2010 to publish another book (now without the art of the illustrator ), in this book narrates the continuation of all the experiences of the protagonist, the difference is that this book in question would be the definitive, separating the story of the protagonist with the previous ones and with the sleeve, it is spoken of a mature Candy of more 30 years old, that doing a retrospective tells us the story we know and then reveals the continuation.
It consists of two volumes, one narrated in third person and another epistolary that tells the story through the letters that Candy sends and receives, we know that Candy is happy, stable, lives in England with her beloved and keeps her memories in a chest of Pearl mother with inlays. Okay, the problem is that this book does not reveal the identity of Candy's partner. Keiko Nagita decided to create a puzzle book in which she leaves clues about who is "that person" who lives with Candy. therefore, the famous "Anohito" (which means "that person" in Japanese, is used as a pronoun to talk between two people of an absent person, but both know him, so it is easy to know that he is a character in the story) He is the apple of discord for all the fans, Keiko Nagita decides to keep the hidden identity of this sentimental couple of Candy so as not to damage the dream of any fan, however, she shows us a story full of symbols and a correspondence whose dates were intentionally destroyed to disorient us with respect to the chronology and, therefore, keep the identity of "that person" hidden, but once the enigma has been solved, reveals who Candy is ultimately with.
The scene that I illustrated is a fragment of the final book that has been commented before and with the name "Candy and Terry in the music room". This scene is quite special because it has never been illustrated in the manga, in fact it is totally new to the Candy Candy story, personally, I consider that "That Person" with which Candy lives is Terry but I respect the opinion of each who (Please do not kill me xD)
Hope you like.
