This June 13th, exactly 1 day before the World Cup, I was able to enjoy one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in my whole life, was to participate in a donation made by a group of magnificent people to a school of "Fe y Alegria" called "Father Juan José Zagarramurdi II" , which is located in the "El Viñedo" , in San Vicente, one of the poorest and most violent areas of the south of Maracay, my city.
The story begins a couple of days before, when a great friend of mine tells me that he needs to support him with some friends of him, who needed a photographer to cover a donation they would make to a school, as he was going to be out of town and had no Another trusted photographer to leave in charge. It was as I gave the contact of @aruska (which happened to be a Steemian too), and I agreed with her for that Wednesday support them in this donation. Until that moment I had no idea what was going to happen..
It arrives on Wednesday 13, and I get with Aruska in the place where I had quoted me and another group of people where we were going to organize and search 35 giant pizzas, 50 liters of mango and peach natural juice, and 200 chocolate cookies , who were part of that donation they would make, that's where the adventure began. We headed towards the school, I had commented that it was in San Vicente, but what I never imagined is that it was going to be in a very rural area, where the streets were ground, And from side to side the houses were made of Acerolit and Zinc, it was a very but very poor area, and they were on the shores of the lake Los Tacariguas, also known as the Lake of Valencia, which had already swallowed part of the hamlets..
My impression was great when we arrived at the school, which was in the whole center of the sector, a very nice school, very conserved, with a park all over the front, and throughout the central courtyard, a huge saman tree, this school was like an OASIS literally speaking.
The guys tell me to we start in the preschool halls to go advanced to the other grades, from the most little ones to the largest. As they entered the first hall, all the children were excited and shouted with joy, seeing the boys coming, who already knew them because they had made previous donations, and were partly responsible for the school being in those conditions so Optimal.
The Happiness of the children was contagious me at once, to see the emotion expression in its faces was slightly only, and even more when it was said to him that they would eat Pizza, since many of them had never eaten one.
We went through all the halls of preschool and then we go to the halls of 1st to 6th grade, where they had an additional activity, were going to see some small yoga classes, in charge of issuing them was a girl who was with us in the group, since it is a specialist in Yoga for children.
The children were super happy, eating Pizza, drinking juices, practicing yoga, the joy in their faces was incomparable, they transmitted a magnifying vibe in the atmosphere, I was delighted, taking the pictures, some were hiding out of grief, but the great Most people were thrilled that they were photographing them, posing, laugheding, finally enjoying being in front of the lens of my camera.
It was time for the snack, this moment was very funny to see how children's eyes shone when I bring in the cookies box they left everything what they were doing to take one, they were running, jumping of happiness, even some of them were stopping eating the pizza pieces only to take a cookie and to eat up them before they were finished.
They became crazy, but they came @aruska and @jeanfreddy (another Steemian, for better surprise). And they put the order, and they told the children to eat their pizzas first and then the cookies. Some of us saw that they only wanted the cookies and they said quiet almost whispering, that those pieces of pizza would be kept to their brothers and mothers, I must confess that it was something that hit me in the heart.
Seeing these faces of joy, emotion, gratitude, those expressions so sincere in the faces of these children, was extremely satisfying, they taught me a lot that day, things like, be thankful, be humble, never lose the smile, and always value everything That we have, so be little.
It was a beautiful experience, that left me many teachings, which showed me that there are still great people in this world, who sacrifice to give the most needy, and not only give them food, clothing, or material things, but also moments of happiness, And not only are they the ones who receive good things, we also receive a giant gift, and it is to see drawn in their faces bright smiles
A thousand thanks I want to give this couple of magnificent human beings @aruska and @jeanfreddy, thanks for allowing me to enjoy a magical and unforgettable day for me, people like you and the rest of the guys that day did that beautiful work, is that needs our Planet Earth, to make it a much better place. That different was everything, if they existed more like you, keep it up, and count on me for next occasions, that while in my availability I will support you with pleasure. A huge hug and a million blessings..
would give anything to see looks like this again...
