My Trip to the Sierra de Perijá Part 2
Today I would like to give continuity to my missionary adventure in the Sierra de Perijá state of Zulia, where we had a lot of movement to serve and love the Yukpa indigenous community, but not everything was work, there was also time for recreation, so we visited a beautiful river from the community, with very cold but refreshing water and where there were some stones with which we could distract ourselves, since when rubbing one rock with another it generated colors that we used to make drawings on the face.
Another thing I enjoyed was seeing that people are very hardworking as they grow different plants that they very generously shared with us such as yucca, banana, corn, malanga, cambur, topocho, pineapple, among others.
We made more visits to our brothers in Christ, who graciously welcomed us to chat friendly and have a good time.
Here I was posing with these beautiful people who clung to me and I attached them to them.
During the night there was also time to talk and always give a message of hope and faith, because as you know in Venezuela we do not live easy times and especially for these areas you feel an atmosphere of hopelessness and abandonment so their inhabitants really required that word of encouragement.
Something they love is to see photos and laugh so there was always time to take the cell phone to see photos and laugh with each image.
Time to share with our friends.
One of the best things about this trip was to share it with who I consider a sister, the truth is that our hearts merge into one to love and serve the needy. I believe that this reason has united us for more than ten years.
It's time to say goodbye and we made a special sharing time to thank God for his kindness to be together again.
A special moment of farewell is that we receive gifts of gratitude from our friends, and the sweetest and special thing is that they are manufactured by themselves, so through their gifts we take one of their hearts into ours.
Victor is a very special boy for all of us since he lived two years in my city with the leader of the mission, and it was a time in which we could share a lot with him, while studying to graduate from high school, his brother Mariano also lived in Guarico one year.
These photos we take when leaving the community, without knowing when we will return, I hope it will be soon.
